Carlos Mercado

Carlos started his career as an auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Mr. Mercado later became a Senior Financial Analyst at the Seagram Company, where he was responsible for corporate finance and pension issues. Subsequently, he held a portfolio management position at Sturdivant & Company where he actively performed extensive fundamental research in the consumer staples, capital goods, and technology/communications services sectors. He also advised on portfolio construction and strategy. Prior to that, he was a senior investment officer at another registered investment advisory firm. At AmeriCap Advisers, Carlos performs extensive fundamental analysis of the stocks in our investment portfolios. He has developed several valuation screens that help in structuring our portfolios. He received his MBA in Finance from the Stern School of Business and his BS in Accounting from St. Francis College. Carlos is also a CPA.
